Congratulations to The Reddingtons!

This past weekend was Olivia and Corey’s backyard wedding at Olivia's dad’s house in Vermont. It was such a sweet and intimate celebration, and I’m so grateful I got to capture it. With less than 100 guests, the whole day had this cozy, relaxed vibe that made everyone feel right at home. The weather couldn't have been more perfect—sunny and in the low 60s—just the kind of beautiful autumn day you dream about for a wedding.

It was extra special for me because I’d photographed Olivia’s cousin Danny’s wedding to Caroline just a month and a half before. It was like being reunited with old friends, and I loved seeing how much love and joy surrounded their family once again.

The day started off with Olivia getting ready in her father's home, surrounded by her closest family. There was such a warm and calm energy in the room as everyone shared stories, laughs, and pets for their dogs, Todd, Josie, Rosie, and Frannie. Corey, meanwhile, was with his family and Best Man, getting ready offsite, keeping the morning relaxed and lighthearted. The dogs, of course, were running around, adding their own level of excitement.

Olivia and Corey's first look under the willow tree

Olivia and Corey’s first look was a perfectly calm and relaxed moment, which was a true reflection of the entire day. They met in the front yard, framed by the willow tree, and the joy on their faces when they saw each other was precious. We spent some time capturing portraits on the property, the colors of the foliage providing the perfect backdrop.

The ceremony took place in the backyard, under a canopy of trees with the warm autumn sun streaming through the branches. Surrounded by their closest loved ones, Olivia and Corey exchanged heartfelt vows that left more than a few people in tears (myself included!). With the mountains in the distance and their beloved dogs sitting nearby, it felt like the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple—down-to-earth, surrounded by nature, and filled with love.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a laidback cocktail hour in the backyard. It was a perfect time for everyone to mingle, share stories, and enjoy the fresh autumn air. Todd, the corgi, made sure to greet each guest, keeping everyone smiling. The relaxed atmosphere made it feel more like a family gathering than anything formal, which was exactly what Olivia and Corey wanted.

The sun set so quickly behind the mountain, at the start of the reception

As the sun began to set, we stole a few moments away for sunset photos. The golden light against the backdrop of Vermont’s fall foliage created the most breathtaking scene. Olivia and Corey were completely wrapped up in each other (literally), soaking in the last moments of daylight before heading back to their celebration. Those quiet moments during sunset were some of my favorite of the entire day, capturing the love between them against such a beautiful natural backdrop, especially on the antique Ford Model T with cans tied to the back.

The gorgeous property of Olivia's family's private residence

The evening wrapped up with a fun, intimate reception under the stars, in their enclosed and heated tent. The backyard was transformed with twinkling lights, and everyone danced and laughed the night away. It was the perfect end to a day filled with love, laughter, and family. Every detail was personal, from the speeches to the music, and it all reflected the close-knit community Olivia and Corey have built around them.

This wedding was truly one of a kind—an autumn celebration filled with warmth, joy, and so much love. It was an honor to capture Olivia and Corey’s special day, along with the beautiful memories they created with their friends, family, and, of course, their beloved dogs!
