Late autumn in northern New Jersey brings a special kind of magic—the crisp air, golden light, and the last few colorful leaves clinging to the trees. Allie and Dom leaned into that cozy, romantic vibe for their November wedding at The Inn at Millrace Pond, a charming historic venue tucked away in Hope, NJ.
I had the joy of second shooting this beautiful day for K. Marchesano Photography, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this wedding was something special.
Nestled in the heart of Warren County, The Inn at Millrace Pond offered the perfect backdrop for an intimate New Jersey wedding. Between the rustic stone buildings, winding paths, and roaring fireplaces, it felt like a retreat straight out of a storybook.
Allie got ready in one of the charming guest rooms, surrounded by her bridesmaids and a whole lot of laughter. Dom got ready nearby in the gristmill, sharing a (not so) quiet moment with his groomsmen before the first look. We found a quiet corner of the property for that moment—just the two of them, bundled up against the November chill, completely in their own world.
The ceremony was held outdoors, with blankets draped over chairs and guests bundled in coats. Despite the chill, the love (and a few hand warmers!) kept everyone warm. Allie and Dom exchanged vows under a canopy of bare trees, with the reception space in the background and the scent of autumn in the air.
As the sun dipped behind the hills, guests moved inside for the reception. Candlelight, greenery, and rustic touches filled the space with warmth. The Inn at Millrace Pond is such a hidden gem in northern New Jersey—it’s the kind of wedding venue that makes everything feel a little more magical.
Allie and Dom’s wedding was a reminder that November weddings in New Jersey can be just as beautiful (and cozy!) as any summer celebration—and I’m so grateful I got to be there to help document it.
