Scratch-offs, cannolis, and a packed dance floor to remember
Martina and Angelo’s wedding was one for the books. Picture 240 of their favorite people (like literally 24 dinner tables at the reception!), the most thoughtful little details, and a dance floor that not a single soul wanted to leave.
These two first met at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, and from the second you’re around them you can tell how much fun they have together. Their wedding day felt like one big celebration of not just their love, but also the family and friends who have cheered them on since day one.
Martina spent the morning getting ready in her childhood home in Amsterdam, NY, which was such a sweet full-circle moment. She is detail-oriented in the best way: from custom logos on the invitations to her engraved Yves Saint Laurent perfume bottle with their wedding date, nothing was overlooked. Her bridesmaids rocked chic black dresses, while white roses and hydrangeas kept the vibe timeless and elegant.
Meanwhile, Angelo and his crew were in Troy, cracking jokes and hyping each other up before the ceremony.
The ceremony at St. Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam was filled with happy tears and so much love. Watching Martina and Angelo say “I do” surrounded by their family and friends was such a beautiful moment, and the joy on their faces said it all.
After the ceremony, we captured portraits both at the church and later at Russell Sage College in Troy. The church gave us those timeless, classic shots, while the Russell Sage campus brought in beautiful architecture and greenery. With such a big wedding party, we had a blast making the most of both spots.
Franklin Plaza was the ultimate backdrop for their celebration, and Martina and Angelo added so many personal touches. Guests were welcomed with custom seat labels, scratch-offs complete with a lucky penny, and signature cocktails: the “Gin and Gelo” for Angelo and a “Limoncello Tini” for Martina.
And then… the party truly began. Patrick from Metro Music had the dance floor going all night long. Guests danced in custom sunglasses, cheered as a cannoli guy came onto the floor to hand-pipe fresh cannolis, and later grabbed McDonald’s burgers and fries during the late-night snack break. It was one surprise after another, and people were loving it.
The night wrapped up in the sweetest way. Martina and Angelo shared a private last dance together, soaking in a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the day, before heading out to a sparkler send-off surrounded by their loved ones.
It was warm, beautiful, and full of energy from start to finish. Martina and Angelo, you planned one heck of a party, and it was such a joy to capture every second of it.
