A timeless Hall of Springs wedding with bold florals, black details, and a signature espresso martini tower.
On a cool, rainy spring day in Saratoga Springs, Katelyn and John turned the historic Hall of Springs into something straight out of a modern romance. With bold florals, timeless black details, and a grand ballroom celebration filled with espresso martinis and emotional speeches, their day struck the perfect balance between elegance and pure fun. Rain or not, this wedding brought it—and every moment felt personal, stylish, and full of joy.
The day began at the Saratoga Hilton, where Katelyn and John and their crew prepped with coffee, laughter, and a calm kind of excitement. Her bridesmaids wore chic black dresses that added a sophisticated, editorial edge to the day, especially when paired with the vibrant florals that came later. From the moment hair and makeup wrapped, everything started to feel real—and the anticipation for their first look was building fast.
Katelyn and John shared their first look under the portico at Hall of Springs, a romantic moment made even more intimate by the soft sound of rain and the grand columns around them. The rain never let up fully, but they embraced it—and honestly, it added such a cozy, cinematic feel to their photos.
We did portraits out on the lawn and by the iconic columns, the neutral stone creating the perfect backdrop for Katelyn’s bouquet of bold red, hot pink, and orange roses, peonies, and dahlias. Every frame popped with color and contrast, and the way they looked at each other the entire time? Unreal.
“These are SO good. You are incredible!!! Thank you for EVERYTHING! So excited!! Thanks for all of your hard work, everyone has been talking about how amazing you were.”
Their ceremony also took place on the portico, with guests gathered beneath the cover of the columns as light rain misted the air. It was classic, heartfelt, and full of the kind of energy that makes you forget about the weather completely. Katelyn’s entrance was met with a collective breath of awe, and their vows had everyone from family to friends wiping away happy tears.
Guests made their way to the back bar for cocktail hour—one of the Hall of Springs’ best-kept secrets if you ask me. Tucked away and buzzing with energy, it was the perfect spot to mingle, sip, and snack before the party kicked off. Signature drinks were flowing, and the espresso martini energy was very much present.
While guests enjoyed the space, we took advantage of a quiet moment to sneak back out for a few more portraits around the property. The rain had lightened up, and the soft, overcast light made everything feel calm and romantic. Katelyn and John wandered the grounds together, soaking in a few more just-married moments before joining their guests for the celebration.
The reception in the historic grand ballroom was every bit as gorgeous and high-energy as you’d expect. Elegant black details anchored the space, while bursts of vibrant florals brought the tables to life. Candles flickered, music echoed off the tall ceilings, and guests were ready to dance.
Katelyn’s espresso martini tower made its debut and was a huge hit—both visually and for the caffeine boost. Every detail was stylish without feeling stuffy, and the vibe was just right all night long.
And the best detail of all? Their sweet pup Ziti made an appearance—as the cake topper! It was the cutest nod to their fur baby and had everyone grinning.
From start to finish, Katelyn and John’s day was timeless, modern, and completely their own. Rain and all, it was an unforgettable celebration of love, good drinks, and the people (and pets) that matter most.
