A Sweet Springtime Maternity Session at Home
Some sessions just hit a little closer to the heart—and this was one of them. Dan and Jessy are two of my dearest friends, and getting to photograph this season of their lives was such an honor.
We spent the morning at Jessy’s childhood apartment, the very place she grew up, now filled with the quiet anticipation of their growing family. It felt extra special to document these moments in a space so full of history, love, and familiarity. There’s something beautiful about the full-circle nature of it all—memories from childhood blending into the promise of new ones to come.
It was one of those unseasonably warm spring days, the kind that tricks you into thinking summer is already here. The light poured in through the windows, casting the softest glow on Jessy's baby bump and highlighting all the little details that made this session feel so intimate and real.
Dan and Jessy are keeping the baby's gender a surprise, and I love that about them. There’s a quiet kind of excitement in the unknown, and it felt like the whole session was wrapped in this beautiful sense of wonder and waiting.
They laughed, they snuggled, they talked to baby—and I got to witness it all through my lens. It was calm and cozy, with just a hint of spring magic.
Dan and Jessy, thank you for letting me be part of your story. Your little one is already so loved.
