A Late Summer Engagement Session in Central Park & the Upper East Side
There’s just something about New York City in late summer. The light is golden, the air is warm but breezy, and the whole city feels like it’s buzzing. Kristen and Tim picked the perfect time for their engagement session, and honestly, it felt less like "taking photos" and more like tagging along on a date through all of their favorite spots.
We started in Central Park, which is always magic but especially in late summer. At Bethesda Terrace, the arches framed them so perfectly, and the fountain in the background set the scene. We strolled down The Mall, laughing and people watching as we walked under those huge elm trees, and then made our way to Bow Bridge, probably the most romantic spot in the park. It was classic NYC at its best.
From there, we headed over to the Upper East Side, which was extra special for Kristen and Tim since it’s where they used to live. We stopped outside their old apartment, which made them both instantly nostalgic, and then ended the night at Dorrian’s, the restaurant where they first met. Photographing them there felt like closing the loop on their story so far, in the sweetest way.
What I loved most about their session was how it told their story. Sure, Central Park is beautiful, but mixing in personal landmarks like their apartment and the spot where they met made everything feel even more meaningful. It was a little bit of NYC magic and a whole lot of Kristen and Tim.
